Summer Memories

I'm enjoying some much needed scrapping time.  Since starting my new job, with weekends off, I find that my creative mojo has finally come back.  And with a little help from this awesome sketch challenge at Let's Get Sketchy I'm one page closer to finishing this album!

Here is the sketch

And her is my layout.  You can see it's sister HERE

I have been working on an heritage album for my mom for Christmas and I'm almost complete! I can't believe how fast its been going together.  These wonderful sketch challenges I've been doing have really made a big difference.  The pages just go together so quick and easy.

I used the sketch form Sketches In Thyme to create the layout below.

This is the sketch I used...

Laugh

Here is another layout for my mom's Christmas album.  I'm having such a good time working on this.  The only hard thing is coming up with different ways to use embellishments so each page doesn't have the same stuff.

I chose a sketch challenge from GrandDiva's Creative Corner for this layout.  It was a lot of fun and the layout came together quite nicely.

Here is my finished layout.  I used a die to create the title and after I cut it I had to do a internet search because it just didn't look right lol.  It's spelled correctly though.

Title Page

Here is the first page my mom will see when she opens her album on Christmas.  It took me a bit to find the perfect picture but I finally found this one of her and my grandma.  Love it!

I used the following sketch form Stick it Down as inspiration for this layout.

Here is the finished layout.  I'm really happy with it except it seems that everything is just slightly tilted.  Hopefully my mom won't notice.

Here is another layout in the Christmas gift album I'm creating.  I'm loving how fast this is coming together.  I just might get this all done with time to spare!

I used a layout from Sketches In Thyme. It's somewhat similar to one of the other sketches I've done but I think it came out pretty good.

Here is my finished layout.  All about my grandpa. He was such a wonderful man.

Fran Part 2

Here I am plugging away on another layout for my mother's Christmas present.  I so can't wait to see her face when I give this to her! I'm loving making a homemade gift for her and something she'll treasure for ever.

I created this layout using the sketch from Let's Get Sketchy.

I changed it up just a bit so I could use the larger photo of my grandmother.  This is the 2nd half to a double page spread.  You can see the first one HERE

Fran

I've really been enjoying creating an album for my mother for Christmas.  I have a bunch of old photos from her childhood and earlier of her parents.  I love sitting and looking through them.  It's amazing to see my grandparents so young and before they were even parents.

I used a sketch from Stuck?! Sketches.  Most of the pictures are only good for a one page layout so these challenges are perfect.

Here is the sketch I used for my layout

Here is my finished layout. This is the first of a two page layout.  You can see the second page HERE.

1952

Hello and welcome to another installment of Sketch~N~Scrap layout challenge. I have been working on an album for my mom for a while now and am hoping to get it all finished for Christmas this year.  I have a bunch of old photos of her and her family and can't wait to get them all down on layouts.

This is the sketch I used for todays layout. I really love how different this sketch is.  I never would have thought to do the corner that way!

Here is my layout. Thankfully my grandma was really good at putting the dates and who was in the photos but unfortunately there isn't any more information about what's going on in the photos.

I created the title using number dies and distressing them with blue distress ink. I had the hardest time with the journal lines.  I couldn't find any of my journal line stamps or my ruler.  I finally used a postcard.

I used two different stamps for the tags and stamped directly on as well as stamped off to get lighter images.  I love how they turned out. I used both grey and blue distressing ink on these to create a bit more dimension.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!

Welcome back to another sketch challenge from Sketch~N~Scrap. I've been MIA the last month or so and am starting to get back into the swing of things.  No better time than with a sketch challenge and a birthday card for my mom.

This fell right on the perfect day as today is her birthday! It was fun to get back to playing in my lonely craft room. Now I can't wait to get working on more projects.  I'm thinking a stocking banner would be a lot of fun.

Here is the sketch

Here is my card. I also decorated the inside with some stars and a cute little sentiment

Supplies: (all by The Stamps of Life unless otherwise noted) stitched tag dies, dotted circle dies, small banner die, ballons2cut stamp set, minidoublebanner2stamp, wishes collection patterned paper, kiwi, banana and bubblegum cardstock, kiwi and guava ink. memento tuxedo black ink.
