Who loves to emboss? I got away from it for a while but have recently picked it back up and love creating with it. This class from Altenew was perfect!!
I have to say, I have never done this much embossing on one project. I never thought to do layered embossing and I love how it turned out. So much fun on these flowers.
To create my background I used the classy stripes stencil over navy cardstock and added embossing ink. I then added translucent pearl embossing powder.
I love how you can see the navy through the stripes but you get that beautiful rainbow effect from the embossing powder. Adds just a touch of glamour to the card.
I used two embossing powders for the flowers and didn't stamp the main fill in image so that the details could stand out on the flowers. For the leaves I used antique silver for the outline and then stamped the accent image with silver stone ink.
I glued the leaves and smaller flower directly to the card but wanted a bit of dimension so I used a little dimensional foam on the larger flower and curled the petals up just a bit.
THANKS FOR STOPPING BY!!
