GOOD TIMES WATER COLORING WITH EMBOSSING

Hi everyone! Welcome back to another challenge over at

Today's challenge is EMBOSSING wet or dry, you choose!

For my project I chose to emboss my image and then watercolor it in. I love this technique! It gives me a cleaner look and the embossing helps keep the watercolor from spreading where I don't want it.

First, I embossed the main image in clear embossing ink and then used platinum embossing power to give a little shine to te image.

I started the coloring by adding a bit of clean water with my brush to the flower or leaf I was going to paint first. I then picked up some of the chosen color and added it ever so lightly to the image I was painting. Wetting the image first helps the paint move and gives a more organic look to the flower.

I finished by drying my image a bit and then adding my sentiment to another strip of white cardstock and adhering it down with dimensional strips.

I'm entering in the following challenges:

  1. Your card is so pretty. I saw it on a challenge blog and came by to compliment you. What a good idea to paint with water first - really makes it looks so natural.
