Hi everyone! I am back with a layout today. I took this picture of my mom, daughter and myself and printed it in black and white. I knew I wanted to do some mixed media on the background so I first prepped my white cardstock with clear gesso and let it dry.
I then took my magical ramblin' rose pink paint from Lindysgang and got it wet. I took a piece of plastic packaging and smushed it into the paint and added it to my cardstock randomly. I love the look of this background. I wish my picture showed the shimmery-ness of the paint. I then too the merry-go-round green paint and did random splatters.
Before I started putting this layout together I went through the embellishments and different patterned paper and picked out a few things I wanted to start with. This really helped the layout come together quite quickly.
This top cluster was one of the last things I added. I felt that both the top and bottom borders were just floating so I added a tag up top and a strip of paper on the bottom to help ground them more to the layout.
This cluster at the top corner of the photo is my favorite. I love the how the paint looks behind the cluster and it makes the heart flower die cut stand out.
Here is the full layout. I wish I could have gotten a better picture but it's so windy outside today that i had to take it quickly.
Below you'll find the products I used on this layout. Thanks for stopping by!!
