Friend Less is More #400

Good morning crafty friends! My hubby went fishing this weekend so I get a crafty weekend!! I found this great "new to me" challenge site called Less is More and couldn't wait to jump on the challenge today. This could be such a fun time today just making tons of simple cards.  I have so many stamp images that fit into this challenge!!

Here is the card I created. I did do a different one first but really didn't like the image or how it looked. So picked this wreath building set and am loving it.

Congratulations!

Good morning everyone! As I sit here crafting the heavens have opened up and it's raining something fierce. I love being home on these days and just watching the storms.  Today I made a baby card using the challenges over at Double Trouble and Crafter's Café.  I love doing the Double Trouble challenges. They always make it so much fun and the twists are so cool.

I got a bit creative with my card and tried some new techniques out.  I used distress ink and brusho powder inks to create my card. I have some pictures to share before sharing the final project.

Here is my finished project.  I used an elephant for my animal. I added a banner using a stamp that looked a bit like a baby mobile to me. I was originally going to add the congratulations to the large tag but decided I needed a bit more "pop" and dimension.

Blessed Be...CC74 Card Challenge

Hi everyone.  I don't know if you've seen the Hulu show Handmaid's Tail but I love that show! I was so excited to see Kindred Stamps made a stamp set just for fan's of the show!! I couldn't wait to use it for a pregnancy card for a co-worker.

I chose a sketch from Soul Scrappers this week to get my juices flowing. I've been having a hard time lately getting cards made.  I seem to go through spurts, how about you??

Here is the sketch I used

Here is my finished card. I used an aqua painter dipped into ink to color the dress, cap and hair on the image.  I used a sponge and stencil to create the background and added glitter to double sided tape for the banner.

Supplies:
SS: strong maiden - Kindred stamps
INK: mint to be, be mine, tiara, pixie dust & midnight - Catherine Pooler Designs
CS: purple & white
Acces: glitter - black ice - Sparkle N Sprinkle,

Rescued RW33 Soul Scrappers Challenge

Hi everyone! I have had these fun picks of my guinea pigs for so long and haven't really known how to scrap them.  I came across this fun challenge at Soul Scrappers and when I saw one of the words to pick from was rescued the pictures instantly came to mind.

I used to work at a pet store and these two cuties came in as drop off animals and I fell in love with them.  It is so fun to watch them "popcorn" and when they puur it's just to cute!!

Here is what I came up with for this challenge. I did use my kiwi lane templates and the layout came together so fast.  These two guys never liked being in the same cage together but they sure did like getting a little close time.

Deck The Halls

Hi everyone! I'm here today getting crafty and trying to get some cards and projects made for an August craft fair! I happened upon a fun challenge over at AAA Cards.  I love doing clean and simple cards, a lot.  I have a hard time doing all the cute and fancy cards that I LOVE seeing.  Just doesn't seem to ever work out for me lol.

Here is the challenge.  I love the twist they added on and I got the perfect stamp set in the mail yesterday for it!

I decided to use a die to cut out the image square and then attach it to a colored cardstock base. I like doing this as I can add a panel inside the card for the sentiment.  I added a couple of rhinestones to add just a touch of bling.

Supplies: beautiful baubles stamp set (stampin up), midnight and rouge ink (Catherine pooler), dotted rectangle dies (the stamps of life), baby bling rhinestones (want2scrap), colored pencils
