Congratulations!

Good morning everyone! As I sit here crafting the heavens have opened up and it's raining something fierce. I love being home on these days and just watching the storms.  Today I made a baby card using the challenges over at Double Trouble and Crafter's Café.  I love doing the Double Trouble challenges. They always make it so much fun and the twists are so cool.

I got a bit creative with my card and tried some new techniques out.  I used distress ink and brusho powder inks to create my card. I have some pictures to share before sharing the final project.

Here is my finished project.  I used an elephant for my animal. I added a banner using a stamp that looked a bit like a baby mobile to me. I was originally going to add the congratulations to the large tag but decided I needed a bit more "pop" and dimension.

Supplies:
SS: henry says-Stampin' Up!
DIES: planner essentials 2-Elizabeth Craft Designs
INK: distress ink worn lipstick, seedless preserves & crushed olive-Tim Holtz's, midnight-Catherine Pooler ink. brusho powers-white & purple-ColorCraft
CS: purple and white
ACCESS: white brad, silver rhinestones-Want2Scrap, white/grey striped ribbon-CTMH

Love is the Key AHSC #302

HI! Welcome to another great sketch challenge over at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog!

We're are lucky to be collaborating again with Double Trouble Paper Crafting blog. Combine our sketch challenge with their "Hear the buzz....flowers" for entries on both sites.  Be sure to link your project to both sites and join in on the fun.

Here is what I came up with for this challenge.  I not only used the sketch I also used all elements of the Double Trouble challenge. It was a lot of fun coming up with added interest for my card.

Love Balloons & a few challenges

Hi everyone! I'm taking advantage of the -21 degree weather and stayed home.  I love extra days to craft!!  I found some great challenges to get my juices flowing today.

The first is the Double Dare Paper crafting blog challenge "Love, Peace and Kindess". So much fun.  They also partnered up with The Paper Girls for their "Sparkle and Shine" challenge.

I then added a sketch challenge from CAS(E) this Sketch!

Here is my finished card.  I used hot air balloons and hearts for love and added some glitter to the XOXO sentiment as well as the glitter tape down the length of the card.  I used an ink pad to create the purple strip and after die cutting out the love on white cardstock I took the blue and pink and sponged. I love how they combine to make a pretty purple in the center.

Here's a close up of the glittered balloon
