THANKS ~ FRESHLY MADE SKETCHES #673

Hi everyone! Today, I'm sharing a fun card I made using Freshly Made Sketches, sketch #673.

I have been working hard the last few months on my Bachelor's degree and haven't been in my craft room much. This sketch was a great starting point to help get my creativity flowing again. I pulled out supplies I hadn't used before and got crafting.

I wanted to make a thank you card, but it still has some color and movement. I pulled out this great fall wreath from Scrapbook.com. Cutting the base out, I then cut it again out of five different patterns and cardstock.

To give the wreath a bit more stability, I cut it out one more time and adhered it to the underside, creating some great dimension. I did the same for the thanks. I finished up with marine gloss pops of color as the embellishment.

Thanks for taking a look at my card today. I can't wait to create more!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Hi everyone! Thanks for joining me today for my Christmas in July card. Scrapbook.com has been having month-long deals and new products for Christmas and I just had to have the bundle I used on my card today.

I did join in on a sketch challenge over at Sketch Saturday.

This is the first time I've used one of their sketches and I really like how quickly my card came together. I did add the twist of making it a Christmas card. Now I'm one down for the holiday!

One of the many new products Scrapbook.com is bringing out are rub-ons. I haven't used them for so long and I'm glad they are coming back in. I added silver snowflakes to the pick polka dot paper to give a more wintery vibe and add some shine.

Here's a different angle to show all the great shine and prettiness. I added a some dimensional tape to the back of my sentiment for some added depth. This is a card I could really see making a bunch of for the holidays.

Thanks for joining me today for this fun sketch challenge. Now it's your turn!

SUPPLIES:

All products are from Scrapbook.com unless otherwise noted.

Dies: Merry Christmas II

Paper Packs: Holiday Patterned Collection, Cools Smooth Cardstock

Pops of Color: Silver Glitter

Adhesive: Permanent Tape Runner, Adhesive Foam Strips

Blessed Be...CC74 Card Challenge

Hi everyone.  I don't know if you've seen the Hulu show Handmaid's Tail but I love that show! I was so excited to see Kindred Stamps made a stamp set just for fan's of the show!! I couldn't wait to use it for a pregnancy card for a co-worker.

I chose a sketch from Soul Scrappers this week to get my juices flowing. I've been having a hard time lately getting cards made.  I seem to go through spurts, how about you??

Here is the sketch I used

Here is my finished card. I used an aqua painter dipped into ink to color the dress, cap and hair on the image.  I used a sponge and stencil to create the background and added glitter to double sided tape for the banner.

Supplies:
SS: strong maiden - Kindred stamps
INK: mint to be, be mine, tiara, pixie dust & midnight - Catherine Pooler Designs
CS: purple & white
Acces: glitter - black ice - Sparkle N Sprinkle,

Oh Hello ACHS #312

I had a lot of fun creating my sample for today's Atlantic Heart's Sketch Challenge! I used products I had sitting out on my desk. I haven't ever put these colors together before and I'm pleasantly surprised by how it came together.

Here is my finished card. What do you think about the colors? Do they work or not?

Live Life AHSC# 310

Here's another great sketch challenge from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge Blog!!

I didn't use any embellishments this time. As I worked on it I realized that will all the stamping and cut out flowers it didn't really need anything else.

You Inspire Me CC69

Loving getting all these challenges done today! Sitting and watching the snow (again) come down is so peaceful while crafting.  I created this card for the sketch challenge over at Soul Scrappers.

The sketch was a lot of fun and the card came together really quickly.

I did move a few things a bit but all in all I stuck to the original design.  The funny thing is, is that once I had the card put together I realized that I put the elements on backwards.  So my fold is on the wrong side of the card lol.  I'm left handed so I'm going to use that as my excuse and move on.

I used my Jillibean soup kit again to create this card.  It was out on my desk after making a layout so I figured I'd just keep going.

Joy to the World CTS #297

Today I'm sharing another Christmas card that I made.  I've really gotten into using white as my base for my cards lately and am liking how it keeps them clean looking.  It also takes less time than having to search out different colored cardstock.

For this card I used a cute sketch I found over at CAS(E) this Sketch!  I like how the background can be as simple or as complex as you'd like and the added layer is in the lower corner.

Here is what I came up with.  I stamped the base of the card using bells and bows stamp/die bundle in fresh forest and cranberry bliss FSJ ink. I then cut the next layer with a dotted rectangle die, stamped the sentiment from lyrical script stamp set and then popped it up to give some dimension. I added some red/green/white twine to keep in trend with the colors and some blue rhinestones to give a pop of color.

My husband liked to card so much that he asked if it was this years Christmas card. (nope, I have other plans for that one)

Give Thanks FMS #361

Hello again! I finally put away my Christmas stamps and pulled out my turkeys.  I don't normally do a lot of line stamps as I feel my coloring could use a little work but this cute turkey was just calling to be used.

I used the sketch from over at Freshly Made Sketches to create my card today.  I love how this sketch leaves you able to create so many different cards.

For my card I used a white base and then cut another piece of white cardstock with a rectangle stitch die.  I then took the Color Me Fall background stamp and stamped and colored it.  I used dimensional dots to give it a bit of pop. The cute turkey and sentiment came from the Turkey Party Stamp set and I used the Turkey Party die set to cut it out.

Foxy Lady!

Good morning everyone! It's a cool rainy day here so of course I'm going to craft! There is another great sketch challenge over at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog and I've had this card in mind all week.

I actually pulled everything out on Wed. totally intending to sit and craft, but life got in the way (laundry mostly lol) and I just didn't get to it.

Here is the card I made using this awesome sketch.  I've started doing a little water coloring. It's definitely a work in progress but practice makes perfect right?

Supplies: The Stamps of Life July card kit, foxes2stamp and foxes dies(the stamps of life), midnight, over coffee, baby girl ink (Catherine pooler)

Today's Your Day!

Hi everyone! Welcome to the July 20th card sketch challenge at Sketch~N~Scrap! This was a fun one.  I love having different patterns on projects. Gives so much more interest to a card or layout!

Here is the sketch.  Check it and my card out then head over to Sketch~N~Scrap's website and play along.

Here is what I came up with. I'm loving these bright colors.  I normally lean more towards quite/fallish colors but it's hot here so sunny and bright is a must!

Happiness is... Sketch #270

I found this great site for sketches called Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  Wish I'd found this site a while ago.  The sketch was so much fun and I was able to pull out some new products and play. They are also doing a design team call so I'm going to submit this card as part of that.

Here is the sketch

Here is what I came up with.  I used white as my card base and took my blue ink pad and made the "colored" cardstock.  I love this technique and your cardstock will always match your ink.

Call My Shell Challenge FMS342

I found this great sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.  This card came together so quickly and you can make so many different cards by just changing a few things around.

Here is my card. I'm loving the stamp of the month from The Stamps Of Life.  Such a cute set and dies to create some awesome summer/beachy themed things.

SUPPLIES: shells2stamp & die shells (the stamps of life), grape, ocean and gingersnap ink (the stamps of life), midnight ink (Catherine pooler designs), sparkle collection paper (the stamps of life card kit) and pale periwinkle jewel drops (nuvo)

Celebrate

I joined in on a challenge over at Stamp Nation.  I'm loving being a part of this community.  There is so much inspiration and fun.

Challenge #279 is Masculine Color Challenge. This came at the perfect time as I am now creating all the birthday cards for my co-workers (which I love doing) and I have another male to make for.

This is what I came up with.  I didn't really want to over due it with embellishments so I just added a small one in the lower corner. I used mini ink blending foam and handles to lightly add color to the background.  The colors are green and browns but this pick looks a bit more purple lol.

On to the sketch

Adventure Begins

Welcome to the last card sketch of the month at Sketch~N~Scrap! This was a fun card to make.  I got some new stamping products and just had to use them on this card! I don't usually do a white base but I really wanted to use a ton of ink colors.

Here is the sketch

Here is my card.  Didn't quite work out the way I wanted but I'm happy with it.  I didn't realize the matching dies were all connected by little pieces of metal and I have nothing to cut them with.  Oh well, means I get to play more later lol.

Count Your Blesssings

Hello! I am back and having some crafting fun today.  I created this card using a sketch from Stampnation.  I recently joined and am loving all the inspiration over there.  This is the first challenge I've done there and can't wait to see the end result of the contest.

Here is my card I made.  This is basically a one layer card.  My white cardstock is so thin that I had to mount it onto something or it wouldn't stand.

Supplies: seaglass, pixie, banana and candy ink, hooray4kitclub sentiment stamps, candles4birhtday and morecandles2stamp stampsets (all items listed above are from The Stamps of Life), tuxedo black ink, white cardstock, pink cardstock, pink/white twine

Amazing

Good morning! Time for another amazing card sketch challenge from Sketch~N~Scrap! This was a bit of a challenge for me. I couldn't figure out how to get the sentiment to work for me.  Then I remembered I have TONS of paper punches!

Here is the sketch

And here is my card.  All the cardstock and papers I used came out of my scrap stash.  I have way to many so it was nice to get to use a "few" up.
