I have a co-working getting married in May and she blessed me with the pleasure of creating her wedding invites and r.s.v.p. cards. I had so much fun coming up with some ideas and couldn't wait to get her approval for the one she wants!
Here are the two different ones I made for her to choose from. For this first one I gave her three options for the sentiment. Black ink, silver embossing power or black embossing powder. I used my silhouette machine to create the card with the dress cut out and then stamped the background and added some silver cardstock inside to give the couple some shimmer.
For the next card I used my silhouette again and cut out a couple and popped them up for some dimension. I used a silver ink pad to stamp the background.
So...which one did she choose? 1 or 2? She chose number 1!! That one is my favorite one as well so I'm so happy that's what she decided on. She also decided on the black embossing powder to give a bit more oomph!!

Hello orange
Good afternoon! I created a card using a color challenge over at Stampnation. This one was a bit hard as I don't usually use orange. I pulled out all five of Catherine Pooler's orange inks and got stamping. I started with using a heart stencil from Altenew and blended the five different colors. I love how that turned out so I did it again for the hello sentiment.
I used little cut out hearts from the large heart I made to add some texture to the card and I didn't feel I needed to add any other "bling". For not being to fond of orange I do love how this card turned out. I tried to make it a valentine's card but just couldn't do it lol.

Love #114
Good morning everyone! I was looking for a fun challenge to do and I came across Inky Paws Challenge. I've never done any of their challenges before so, I thought, why not? This was a fun card to create and such an quick and easy sketch to follow. You can make a ton of the same card using this (birthday, Christmas, invitations) or a collection of the same but not quite the same cards.
I decided to use some of the fun Valentine items I've recently purchased from Concord & 9th. I am in love with their turnabout stamps and now that I have the misti they are coming out so much better! I have a few but have never been able to get them just right. Hasn't stopped me from using them but it's nice to have them
Here is the sketch that I used for my card.
Here is my finished card. I used Catherine Pooler inks to create the pink background cardstock and to make the darker pink Love word. This is one of my favorite techniques as I can always match my cardstock to inked images.
Here is a close up of the love die cut image. I die cut it three times and then layered them on top of each other to give it a bit of dimension. I added some sequins to give a bit of bling and the card was finished. I can't wait to make some more using this sketch!!
Supplies:
INK: Catherine Pooler- it's a girl, be mine, coral cabana and party dress
SS: Concord & 9th- XOXO turnabout, Sew In Love die
CS: heavy white
ACCESS: CTMH-silver ribbon, Catherine Pooler-inspiration point sequin mix
Happy Birthday StampNation!!
This month over at StampNation we are celebrating it's 9th birthday! I have been apart of SN for about 4 years and have loved every minute. The inspiration from all the ladies, the wonderful challenges and the celebrations are so much fun.
I made two birthday cards using Concord & 9th"s Top It Off stamp/dies. This is such a fun set and has so many different possibilities! I can't wait to get crafting a bit more with this set. This is what I came up with today

I used my new misti to help me align my images a bit better and am very happy with how it turned out. I loved using the different colors to create the tiers. I love both but I think the blue and yellow cake is my favorite. It looks more like a wedding cake to me.
Additional products used:
ink: Catherine Pooler- sauna, stone blue, lemongrass, sangria, daydream, midnight
Cs: heavy white
ss: Concord & 9th- top it off stamp/dies, Catherine Pooler-I eat cake
