FOR YOU BOOKWORM

Hi everyone! Back again with another challenge for

We have two great sponsors for this weeks challenge:

Prize: 2 digi images of winners choice

AND

Prize: 4 digi images of winners choice

Now onto my project. I decided to create a slimline card for the image I used so I could make her a bit bigger than I normally would. I used a really cute image from LeAnn's World 101 called SCHOOL GIRL

I wanted to give her the look as if she was in a library so I used a background peek-a-boo stamp image from Hero Arts and using my misti I stamped it on the upper part of my panel and then using some of the smaller images on the lower half and separating them with a strip of blue ribbon.

HELLO FRIEND COLLABORATION

Hi everyone! Welcome back for the second installment of the collaboration between

AND

Here is my project

Supplies:

I started out by cutting out a orange panel and using a leaf stencil with the espresso ink to create a soft background for my focal point.

I then added the gold string washi to the bottom 1/3 of the panel and added a strip of the golden edge washi to ground the top. I adhered the panel to my card base and got working on coloring my main image.

I did a lot of paper piecing on this card. It's not one of my most favorite things to do but I am loving how this card turned out. Using adhesive backed foam I adhered the main diamond panel to the front and then added in the different flowers and leaves as accents.

I cut out the middle of the diamond so I could use the Mocha/Mocha starstruck foiled paper inside it. It gives a bit of shine to the card and it's not overwhelming.

TRICK OR TREAT SHAKER

Hi everyone! Welcome back. I have another share for a challenge over at

The challenge: Halloween or cats

For my card I decided on a slimline shaker Halloween card. I've been really enjoying creating this new size card and with the help of some dies you can make them into multiple window shakers.

I used a fun kit called GOT CANDY? from Close To My Heart

The only thing I used that wasn't part of this kit was the dies to create the front shaker panel.

At first I wanted to stamp images and color them in and then I remembered the kit came with a sticker sheet and these pumpkins fit in great with the background paper I used.

I took one of the sentiment strips and cut it to create the sentiment so that it would fit. To get the card base attached to the shaker I left the shaker window piece upside down and adhered the card base that way.

HELLO AWESOME FRIEND

Hi everyone! Welcome back to another challenge over at

Today's challenge is to use PINK on your design.

Our sponsor this week is

PRIZE: 3 digi's of the winner's choice.

For my card today I used FLOWERING CHERRY. I enlarged my image and printed it twice.

Using my Altenew Artist Marker's I colored the flowers in two different families of pink. I then colored the leaves.

Once I had my images colored I fussy cut them out. I got a piece of watercolor cardstock and rose petal ink refill from Catherine Pooler and started water coloing my background. I wanted an ombre effect and am very happy with how it turned out.

Once the background dried I started adding my flowers. I laid the back one down first and and then layered the second one on top.

I cut the greenery off the bottom of both sets of flowers and added them in around the floral clusters. I cut the edges that were hanging off the edges and added a few around the outside of the card.

I finished it off but cutting out the sentiment out of inked cardstock and adhered it to my card.

FRIEND, I MISS YOU

Hi everyone! Welcome back for another great challenge over at

As always: ANYTHING GOES

Our sponsor for today's challenge is

Prize: 3 digi images of the winners choice.

For my card today I got to use the lovely HELLO FALL digi stamp. I've been eying her for a while so I couldn't wait to grab it for this challenge.  I've been spending a LOT of time on websites lately checking out all the new, fun, fall items that are coming out.

When I saw this great background and stencil set from Taylored Expressions I couldn't wait to get it and use it. You stamp the background stamp and then using the three stencils in order you create a really cool leafy background.

Below are pictures of the three stencil steps to get the amazing background.

Once I trimmed it down to be the panel on my card it was so pretty. I will have to create another as I ended up covering most of the background with my image.

Here are some close ups. I also used a leaf die to create three leaves to go behind the main image.

Coloring these pumpkins was a lot of fun. I could spend all day just coloring them in.

I usually don't add a sentiment inside the card but I thought this went well with the outside sentiment.

Here's one more look at the finished card.

LOVE YOU MORE THAN CANDY CORN

Hi everyone! I'm here today sharing a fun card I made using a variety of new products I've received over the last week. I am all about this time of year and seeing a fun candy corn stamp set is right up my alley!!

For this card I added two different challenges together. A sketch challenge and a color challenge.

To be able to use all the colors (I know, there's only three lol) I decided to color my candy corn with the cajun craze as the bottom and the pumpkin pie as the middle and leave the top white.

I did follow the sketch "loosely" to get the look I was going for. I wanted some type of shaped background so I searched through the cricut design center and found this web panel. Once I cut it out I adhered it over a piece of pumpkin pie cardstock and added it to my card base.

I cut two 1/2" strips from cajun craze and mint macaron. One at 5 1/4" and one at 5" and lightly layered one over the other.

Once I did that I stamped all of my images using my misti and then colored them all in. Once they were cut and colored I started creating my scene. After everything was adhered down I took my wink of stella glitter brush and added some glimmer to the spider web.

I didn't want to use any other embellishments other than the candy corn pieces and the glitter brush. I love this card!!

COFFEE + BIBLE = HAPPINESS COLLABORATION WITH JOY CLAIR

Hi Everyone! I have a fun Collaboration between

AND

I really enjoyed using the stamps/digi stamps I received as part of this collab and couldn't wait to share with you! I chose some fallish style stamps since October was the chosen month for us.

Supplies used:
Altenew: Artist Markers
Pinkfresh Studios: slim ornate banner die
Neenah solar white 80lb cardstock
Michaels: orange jute

HOW TO:

Using the slimline ornate banner dies I created a slimline card. I then cut the two layers using the remaining two dies, one in each color of Rinea foiled paper.

In order to make it a card I cut my white cardstock to 7" x 8 1/2" and scored/folded it at 3 1/2". Placing the die so the top and side where the fold is, is not on the paper.

Once I had my card base I started stamping around the outer edges using the rustic occasions sentiment stamp set and CTMH inks.

After I got the outer edges all stamped I then took the next two dies and cut them from the ruby/ruby and mocha/mocha starstruck foiled paper.

I then started coloring in the images I planned to use on my card. I trimmed out the coffee cut and the sentiment to over lay on it.  I then adhered two leaves to the upper panel and then adhered the ruby/ruby panel over them.

Using a 1 1/4" square punch I punched out three squares. Using the same ink colors I did some ink blending. I realized after I had it added onto the red panel that I didn't need the middle one.

I realized after I had it added onto the red panel that I didn't need the middle one.

I then added some adhesive backed foam tape to the back of my coffee cup and added it to the front of my card. Then I adhered the sentiment over the center of the cup.

I'm really happy with the way this turned out being that it's my first ever slimline card. I can't wait to pull out some of my other slimline dies and get making more. Who knows, maybe that's what I'll do for my Christmas cards this year!!

QUICK & EASY CHRISTMAS CARDS
