Oh Hello ACHS #312

I had a lot of fun creating my sample for today's Atlantic Heart's Sketch Challenge! I used products I had sitting out on my desk. I haven't ever put these colors together before and I'm pleasantly surprised by how it came together.

Here is my finished card. What do you think about the colors? Do they work or not?

Live Life AHSC# 310

Here's another great sketch challenge from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge Blog!!

I didn't use any embellishments this time. As I worked on it I realized that will all the stamping and cut out flowers it didn't really need anything else.

Celebrate AHSC # 308

Hi everyone. So glad your back for another great Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  I'll be honest, I had a little bit of a block (no pun intended) when I started this card.  I just couldn't figure out what I was going to do.

Once I remembered I had some backgrounds made from my gelpress it came together pretty quickly.  I wanted to add a bit of bling so I die cut the sentiment from glitter cardstock.  I then added a little stamping to the opposite corner to give just a tad more interest to the card.

Sending Prayers AHSC #306

Welcome to another sketch challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  I took a clean and simple approach to this weeks sketch.

Here is what I came up with.  I don't have many sympathy cards and this set from Fun Stamper's Journey is such a sweet set.

Twinkle Tree AHSC #296

Hello everyone! Today I have another great sketch to share with you from AHSC Blog.  This sketch has so much possibility for different occasions. With the large space for a sentiment you'll be making tons of different cards using this one.

Here is what I came up with.  I love this set from Fun Stamper's Journey.  I can't wait to use some nuavo glitter glue on here! Today I used some rhinestones from Want2Scrap. I added a couple of snowflakes around the sentiment.

Hi! AHSC #290

Hi everyone! I took a small break from crafting holiday projects to create this bright card below.  I am loving these sketches from Atlantic Heart Sketch Challenge Blog and hope you'll join in on the fun!!

Here is today's card challenge

Here is my card.  I did outline the flower petals with a thin glue pen and sprinkled glitter, unfortunately, you can't really see it. The "grey" cardstock is a brushed silver (again, has so much more personality in person).

AHSC #288 Merry Christmas

Hi everyone.  Back with another great sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

I had fun with this one.  I used my chalk ink from Quick Quotes and added it around the edges of all the white cardstock and cut out pieces. I wasn't liking all the empty space on the brown square so I added the sled (plus a little pop of color is always good)

AHSC #286 Coffee & Friends

Hi everyone! Welcome to another great sketch challenge At Atlantic Heart Sketch Challenge.  This was a fun one.  Lots of different ways to use it!

Here is this weeks sketch

Here is what I came up with.  I used a circle punch to cut out the sentiment. I put the cardstock in half way and cut.  I did trim off a bit more in order to get it to fit where I wanted it.

I wanted to use colors you don't usually see together.  I used a light lavender and a terracotta color along with grey and brown.

Now it's your turn.  Join along and upload your creation at Atlantic Hearts!!

AHSC #284 Witchy Pup

I fell in love with this stamp set from Sparkle N Sprinkle at the Scrapbook Expo.  Sad to say I almost forgot I had it (woops).  I went to the booth 4 or 5 times before I even purchased it lol.  How could I forget it?!

This weeks sketch for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge is a really nice one.  I decided to a Halloween card as it's October 1st! Woop! Can you believe that I have a neighbor that's had webs and ghosts in their yard since September 1st! Say what!! I'm all about this time of year and that's even to early for me.

Here is my card.  I used a web die for the background and let me tell you, it was a beast to get all those little pieces out.  No matter what I did it just wouldn't cut all the way through the sparkle paper (and I ran it through 4 TIMES).

Hello Sunshine #282

Hello.  Welcome back! Today I have another wonderful sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog.  I got to use some new tropical dies I purchased and my new glass mat.  Loving how easy it makes blending color onto images!

Here is today's sketch

Here is my card.  I decided to use some glitter washi tape as my borders and stamped my sentiment right onto it.  It gives it a soft muted look which goes well with the softer colors of the flowers.

Here is a closer look at the inked images.

Just a Note AHSC #280

Welcome to another wonderful sketch challenge over at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge Blog. I had a lot of fun creating with this sketch. I recently went to the Scrapbook Expo by my hometown and just had to use a new stamp set I got!

I purchased WAY to much but am loving everything I got and it's really gotten me into the crafting mood.

Here is sketch #280

This is what I made with it. The stamp set is Tulips from Sparkle N Sprinkle and one of my new favs. I'm still working on my water coloring, but I'm very happy with how this turned out. To give the flowers a nice crisp look I embossed them with black embossing powder.

Gonna Miss You!

Welcome to another awesome sketch challenge from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog. This weeks sketch is amazing and has so many different possibilities.  I couldn't wait to pull out these new stamp sets and dies to use for this!

Here is my card. I used blue ink color to create the effect of blue card base and then layered the grunge stamped paper on top.  I love how this turned out and I can match my cardstock to my inked images every time!

Now it's your turn.  Start crafting and post your design over on the BLOG!!

Tropically Yours

I'm super excited to come to you today with a sketch from the new design team I am on.  I was selected to join the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge! So excited to be a part of this amazing team.

I'll be doing two sketches a month.  The sketch for today is a fun one!

I changed the layout just a tad to work with the stamp image I wanted to use.  I sponged color to create a sunset effect.  The yellow isn't showing up as well as in person.

Now it's your turn.  Create your card and upload to the BLOG and join along!!

Foxy Lady!

Good morning everyone! It's a cool rainy day here so of course I'm going to craft! There is another great sketch challenge over at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog and I've had this card in mind all week.

I actually pulled everything out on Wed. totally intending to sit and craft, but life got in the way (laundry mostly lol) and I just didn't get to it.

Here is the card I made using this awesome sketch.  I've started doing a little water coloring. It's definitely a work in progress but practice makes perfect right?

Supplies: The Stamps of Life July card kit, foxes2stamp and foxes dies(the stamps of life), midnight, over coffee, baby girl ink (Catherine pooler)

Hello

Happy 4th! Hard to believe it's already here.  It's for sure been hot enough but the time just seems to fly these days.

I made another card for a sketch over at Atlantic Heart Sketch Challenge.  I'm so glad I found them last week.  Loving their sketches!!

Here is sketch #271

Here is my card.  I used a stencil to create the two tone background and love how it turned out. I usually like a more clean and simple card so this takes me a little out of my comfort zone.

Happiness is... Sketch #270

I found this great site for sketches called Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  Wish I'd found this site a while ago.  The sketch was so much fun and I was able to pull out some new products and play. They are also doing a design team call so I'm going to submit this card as part of that.

Here is the sketch

Here is what I came up with.  I used white as my card base and took my blue ink pad and made the "colored" cardstock.  I love this technique and your cardstock will always match your ink.
