Red, White And Blue/Stars Challenge #282

I think this is the perfect challenge for this weekend.  With the 4th of July just days away what's better than Red, White and Blue/stars??

Over at Stamp Nation they are hosting this awesome challenge.  Here is the inspiration. I love the more rustic colors that can be used for the holiday.  Makes it more primitive.

I also used this great sketch from CASE(E) This Sketch!

Here is my project.  I used a new stamp and die set from Catherine Pooler Designs.  I love anything stars so it's a lot of fun to use.

Tag! Your It! Challenge #281

There is a fun challenge going on over at Stamp Nation right now called Tag Your It.  It's been a lot of fun seeing what everyone has been coming up with.  This version is to case one of the cards done and make it your own.

I really love how Peggy used stamps to create a cute background for her pup.

Here is what I came up with.  I used an ink pad to create the matching blue paper.  I've never done that before but really love how it turned out.

Here is a close up of the sentiment. I used a sponge dipped in the red ink to add some color to the circle.

SUPPLIES: stars4you stamp set (the stamps of life), rockin' red, juniper mist, something borrowed and midnight inks (Catherine pooler stamps), red twine.

Celebrate

I joined in on a challenge over at Stamp Nation.  I'm loving being a part of this community.  There is so much inspiration and fun.

Challenge #279 is Masculine Color Challenge. This came at the perfect time as I am now creating all the birthday cards for my co-workers (which I love doing) and I have another male to make for.

This is what I came up with.  I didn't really want to over due it with embellishments so I just added a small one in the lower corner. I used mini ink blending foam and handles to lightly add color to the background.  The colors are green and browns but this pick looks a bit more purple lol.
