Beautiful

Good morning! I had some time to create today and decided to use things I already had on my work desk.  I love the framelit standups by The Stamps of Life and I have them sitting right in front of me all the time to encourage me to use them.

I purchased this bee set quite a while ago and loved it on site.  I've used it for scrapbooking but never on a card.  I just needed to come up with a concept.  Once I started it just all came together!

The die cut Beautiful is from one of the card club kits I've received recently. I haven't had the chance to use the kit much but I love how she creates the word framelits with shadow dies as well. It makes the word just pop.

Supplies:
INK: pumpkin pie, crushed curry, tuxedo black
CS: chocolate, sunset, cranberry, and buzz and bumble dsp from close to my heart
ACCESS: bee die set, beautiful die, antique studs, regal stand-ups/card framelits

More and More Cards!!

Here are the many cards that I've been working on.  This is only about half. I lost quite a few pictures due to computer issues.  I was making samples for wedding invitations and birthdays.

Many Many Layouts

Since I unfortunately had to delete my first blog, due to all the photos and info disappearing, I want to add some of the projects I had uploaded onto it.  Here are a few of the layouts I've worked on over the last few months.

I found these old photos of my kids from a Halloween in August celebration at my in-laws campground.  They had so much fun dressing up and parading around.

I love this picture of my mother (on the right) and one of her many cousins as flower girls at her Aunts wedding.  It's hard to imagine the woman I know today this tiny!

This is my oldest son going off to his junior prom. It didn't go the way he had hoped but he looked so handsome in his all white tux.  I love this photo so much that this layout hangs in a frame on my living room wall.

My younger two children are on the autism spectrum.  The cause is very close to my heart.  When they were about 8 and 5 we did the Autism walk in Chicago.  Afterwards we got to walk around and visit different vendors.  The highlight for my daughter was meeting Miss  Illinois

For a few months my youngest son was wanting a bubble bath every night.  He would sit and wait for all the bubbles to disappear before he'd get out.

This is a layout of my daughter at 3 and then at 13.  Hard to believe how much she's grown.  She's now going to be 16!!

Share Memories

I have been working on pictures of my niece for, it seems, like ever.  She's 19 years old and I'm still scrapping baby photos!  I'm hoping I'll have them done before she's 30!!

I normally scrap in two page layouts and knew that I wanted to use the sketches from this month over at Stuck?!.  But I had to figure out how to make them a two page spread.  I pulled out all my supplies and laid them out to see if I could get the two sketches to work together. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out.

I'm loving the bright colors.  I used retired paper from Creative Memories called Candy Shop.  Such vibrant, fun colors.

These are the two sketches I used.

Here are my finished layouts.

LIGHT 'EM UP!

One of my co-workers/friends birthday is coming up this week and I just couldn't wait to make a card for her. I love surprising these ladies with fun cards and they don't ever expect them.

I used the challenge over at Seize the Birthday for her card and am pretty happy with how it turned out.  What I love about this challenge site is that the challenge is always birthday.  With "toppings" added in if you so choose to do it.

This weeks "topping" is a sketch.  I haven't seen them do a sketch before so I had to do it lol.

I recently purchased some new stamps for Stampin' Up! and thought that their new set Balloon Bash  was perfect.  The larger sentiment stamp is so my sense of humor that I had to use it on the inside.

This is the inside.
Supplies:
SS: balloon bash
INK: night of navy, bermuda bay, mossy mellow, tangelo twist, calypso coral, crushed curry markers, mossy mellow & crushed curry ink pads
CS: bermuda bay, crushed curry, mossy mellow, calypso coral, whisper white, birthday bash dsp
ACCESS: angled tag punch, bermuda bay taffeta ribbon

Your Invited

My lovely daughter is turning 16 this February.  So hard to believe how fast she's grown.  We haven't done birthday parties in a while but I just have to give her a sweet 16.  Such a big milestone in a young ladies life.

I was having a hard time coming up with an invite for her so I decided to C.A.S.E. one from the Stampin' Up! catalog.

Does this look familiar? It's the card on page 58 of the current catalog.  I wanted to do a bit brighter of a blue for the base and I just didn't think it would look good this light, but once I had everything put together I love it.  My daughter is so happy with it and was so excited to see it come together.

Now to mail them all lol.

It's been a long week for us here at my home.  Getting this much needed craft time is wonderful.  I am loving the inspiration over at Stampin' Royalty this week.  Such vibrant colors.  Perfect to perk you up during this cold, wintery time.

I also decided to use this weeks sketch from Freshly Made Sketches to inspire the layout. I have so many birthdays coming up that I really needed ideas to get my cards going.  These challenges helped me get one more closer to be done.

INK: smoky slate, island indigo, crushes curry, coastal cabana, tangerine tango
