LOVE YOU MORE THAN COFFEE

Hi everyone! I'm back today with a fun card for

We have some great sponsors for today's challenge

Prize: Two digi images of winners choice

Prize: Two digi images of winners choice

Prize: One stamp set of winners choice

For my project today I used coffee and...set from Artsy Stamper. I'm all about anything coffee, which is funny since I used to hate the drink. Once I hit my 40's it was like a light switch and I can't go a morning without!

I used three images from this set. The mug, coffee saying, and the background paper. I added some embossed beans to the paper to give a bit more dimension to my card.

It's been a long time since I've done a monocramatic card. I really like how all the different browns work together to bring this card all together.

I kept my coloring pretty simple by just using three shades of brown copics. I did use two cool grey's on the handle and bottom of the mug but I wanted the coffee to be the star.

AECP Level 2 With a Twist Project

Today I finished up the With A Twist class for my level 2 certification for Altenew. This was a fun class to watch. Therese had so many neat ideas for us that it was so hard to choose one to do.

I decided to do the faux embossing technique. This was fun because I got to stamp, color and die cut on this card. The faux embossing is the die cuts adhered to the panel.

I've been looking for a good excuse to pull out this awesome stamp set and use it. I love all things coffee it seems these days and this set is no exception.

I wanted to use this sentiment since I think I'm going to give this card to my hubby on his birthday! He always tells me I love my coffee more lol.

One final close up look at the "embossed" images.

My Blood Type Is...Coffee

Hi everyone! I'm back with another card creation. Have you ever had an idea in your head and when you went to create it, it just wasn't going the way you hoped?  I had that with this card.

I knew I wanted to use the set from Honey Bee stamps but once I pulled it out and started working I couldn't get a clear image of my finished project. I'm all about stamps these days that deal with coffee. Not sure why but I'm finding myself drawn to them.

For this card I used two different stamp sets and three different die sets. Once I started getting things going it came together quite nicely.

I started by using a coffee ring embossing folder and sponging ink over it. This is usually my go to for when I want to add some ink to paper.

I used my Altenew artist markers to color and shade in my cups and then cut a rectangle using a stitched die cut. Another one of my favorite techniques is direct color to paper. I used it on the rectangle to get the brown colored cardstock to back my coffee cups.

Here are a couple of close ups. I added the black splatter at the end instead of digging out embellishments that I wasn't sure would even go with the card.

Coffee and Friends

Good morning!! I've been enjoying playing with some new items this past week and I have to say that this Coffee Blend stamp and die set from Concord & 9th is one of my favorite new finds!!

I used a color challenge from over at Stampnation and created this card.  I had so much fun using my ink pads to create matching background paper for the front as well as the inside.  I can't wait for my friend to get it and show her how much she's been helping me over the last few weeks!!

I almost forgot to take a picture of this card!! I had the envelope all addressed, stamped and sealed. I had to make a decision to either not get the pic or lose the stamp. I decided to lose the stamp lol!!

I used it's a girl and green tea Catherine pooler inks to create the colored cardstock. I love how doing this gives me an  exact match to my cards!! Her inks make it so easy to do this!!

AHSC #286 Coffee & Friends

Hi everyone! Welcome to another great sketch challenge At Atlantic Heart Sketch Challenge.  This was a fun one.  Lots of different ways to use it!

Here is this weeks sketch

Here is what I came up with.  I used a circle punch to cut out the sentiment. I put the cardstock in half way and cut.  I did trim off a bit more in order to get it to fit where I wanted it.

I wanted to use colors you don't usually see together.  I used a light lavender and a terracotta color along with grey and brown.

Now it's your turn.  Join along and upload your creation at Atlantic Hearts!!
