Having Fun With Mr. Rabbit

Hi everyone! It's been a long minute since I last posted. With so much going on over the last couple of years I had to take some time away from crafting and sharing. I have SO missed being in the community learning and sharing.

Today I'm sharing a tag I created while watching the replay of Tim Holtz's last video. I wasn't able to watch it live, but am so glad I went back. In case you missed it, here it is.

I used mostly all of the same products that Tim used, except I did change a color or two. The distress world has always been something I want to really get into but have such a hard time figuring out color combos and what products work best. Watching his videos has been a huge help.

I am in love with Mr. Rabbit. He is so sweet and very dapper. I can't wait to see what others have come up with.

I haven't quite decided if I am going to make a card out of this tag or use it as a bookmark. I can already see he would make me smile each time I opened my book.

JINGLE ALL THE WAY TAG

Hi everyone! I'm here to share a fun tag I made. I used a few different techniques on this one. I wasn't to sure about it at first but I really like it now that it's all finished.

I started out by using a peppermint stencil on the background, following it up with a Merry Christmas and dotted stencils in different distress oxide inks.

I used the new presents die from Tim Holtz and cut out so many presents lol. I have quite a few left over. I see some birthday cards in my near future.

I finished it off by layering the presents on the tag and then adding some washi tape in sparkle and word type. For the main image I used two different distress embossing powders mixing them slightly to get a nice blend.

Supplies: Tim Holtz unless otherwise stated

DIES: arctic & tree line thinlit dies, gift wrap bigz die

INK: crackling campfire, rustic wilderness, and blueprint sketch distress oxide inks, embossing pad

Stamp set: bold tiding 3

Stencils: buuble, peppermint, and merry christmas

Accs: christmas label tape, designer tape tidings, crackling campfire & rustic wilderness embossing glaze

WINTER TAGS COLLABORATION WITH RINEA AND CRACKERBOX & SUZY STAMPS

Hi everyone! I am so exited to share my projects with you today. Today's are a bit more special as we here at

are collaborating with

Before this collab I hadn't heard of Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps. I feel like I was missing out! They have some cute stamps and some snarky one's for us more smarty pants people.

I started making my tags by die cutting two different tag shapes from white cardstock. For my images I put them all into my misti stamping tool and stamped them all at the same time in crisp black ink.

For the first tag I used an embossing folder with ink on the inside top panel in a baby blue ink color.

I then placed my first tag inside the folder.

The effect you get by doing this technique is stunning. It makes the image/words stand out and puts just the right amount of color on the tag.

I then took my Rinea foiled paper and cut out three shapes in three different colors. I glued them down using my liquid glue.

Once I cut the edges off I added a few of them to other areas of the tag base.

I then set about creating the rest of my tag by adding my stamped images and sentiment.

For my second tag I used a snowflake embossing folder and embossed my foiled paper.

I then took my tag base and glued it to the back.

I  then started to add more foiled paper to the front. Cutting the strip off the base and turning it over to get the gold strip. I also cut another tag shape from the silver foiled paper and adhered it on top.

Once that was done I could start adding my image and sentiment. I wanted Santa to be the focal so I fussy cut around the sentiment to make it more stream lined. I used the same baby blue ink from above around all the edges.

And here is the complete finished project. There are so many things you can do with these. You can add them to packages, scrapbook layouts, cards and so much more.

Here are some close ups of both of the tags and a supply list

Christmas Tags Oh My!

This is my most favorite time of year.  The trees are turning colors and the air has a nice crisp feeling to it.  I get to pull out my warm sweaters and curl up with a cup of cocoa to read a book or craft, of course!

I have some cute tags to share with you today using to of my new favorite holiday stamp sets.  Since I've started Christmas shopping already I figured I should start on my packaging as well.

I found a blog while cruising the internet and couldn't wait to join in on all the Christmas fun they are having!  It's called The Merry Christmas Challenge.  And it's all Christmas all the time!! Anything Christmas goes.

Here is a picture of all three tags.  I started out simply by stamping and coloring those images that are line stamps and then die cutting them out.  I didn't add any embellishments as I knew they were going to end up on gifts for my kiddos.  The ones I make for friends and other family members will have a bit more "bling" to them.

These two tags were created with winter build a scene stamp set and winter build a scene die set.  These are going to definitely be a staple in my stash.  I like how simple they are to color and create a cute scene without having to pull out a whole bunch of different products.

This next tag was created using the Christmas Magic stamp set and Christmas magic die set. I can't wait to share more projects using this stamp/die set.

Hoping Your Day...

I've been on a roll today lol.  I found this great TAG challenge at Craftaholics R Us. I have a tag die set that I haven't pulled out in a while and this challenge was perfect.  I'm trying to use more of the items I've already got instead of always using the new products (although I love the new stuff).

Here is my tag.  If you've scrolled through my blog at all today you may notice that all the projects have the same coloring.  I decided to use the papers on my scrap table instead of pulling out new cardstock.  I have way to many scraps and I never use them.  This way I won't have to "add" to the scrap pile.

Supplies:
ACCESS: stitchedtags die, cocoa twine
