Live The Life...

I've recently been going through old photos and found this one from my daughter's bridging ceremony (years ago) of my grandma, mom, me and my daughter.  It's rare to get a 4 generation photo and since my grandma has since passed this is extra special.

I'm using a sketch challenge from Let's Get Sketchy.  It's such a cheerful sketch and I have the perfect paper for it (since the photo is a bit washed out).  I love hexagons so this was perfect and I even have hexagon shaped thin dies!!

Here is the sketch...
This is what I came up with...
Not the best picture as it's rainy and dark here.

Happy Birthday

Hello everyone.  Time for another card sketch challenge over at Sketch~N~Scrap. Come and play along!

Here is today's sketch

And here is my creation.  This card came together pretty quickly.  I used scraps from a layout I created earlier in the month (may look familiar huh?)

Adventure Joy Fun

I found this old picture of my now 18 year old daughter and couldn't wait to create a layout using it.  You sometimes forget how sweet and adorable they were before the "teen" years arrive lol.

I found this great sketch challenge over at Let's Get Sketchy and it is perfect for this photo.

Here is the sketch

And this is what I came up with
I used a distress ink on the edges of all the patterned paper and ran it across the background cardstock to add some depth.  It's so bright in my house right now (problems right?) that you can't really see that.

Dream

Hello! I am in the graduation mode at the moment.  My daughter just graduated high school and we are getting everything ready for a big party!  C an't wait.  So when I found this challenge over at Moving Along With The Times I couldn't wait to pull out my one and only graduation stamp and get crafting!! I paired it with a great sketch from Try Stampin' On Tuesday

Here is the sketch...
The challenge over at Moving Along With The Times is GRADUATION

This is what I came up with
I used an embossing folder on the background to create the caps and added a little sparkle with glitter washi tape and a little glitter cap.  Wish I would have thought of this when I was trying to come up with invites to the party!!

Shine Bright

Good morning! Welcome to another great sketch for Sketch~N~Scrap! I really enjoyed this one.  I searched for a photo and found this one of my son from when he graduated and couldn't wait to use it.
Here is the sketch

And here is what I came up with.  It's hard to believe this was two years ago! He's going to be 20 soon and his sister just graduated.  Time goes by so fast!!
