AHSC #288 Merry Christmas

Hi everyone.  Back with another great sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

I had fun with this one.  I used my chalk ink from Quick Quotes and added it around the edges of all the white cardstock and cut out pieces. I wasn't liking all the empty space on the brown square so I added the sled (plus a little pop of color is always good)

Here is your sketch for today.  The optional theme is Cozy Patterns

Here is my card.  I created the background by stamping the images in muted colors.  I also embossed the purple square to give a bit more dimension.

So Cool! Facebook Group Layout #2

I am so enjoying being apart of the facebook group that is offering sketches.  I was lucky enough to happen apon it and am so happy I did.  I haven't been able to get to many layouts done but I'm happy to have my second layout finished!

We have a really cool free "zoo" park near us and they have animals we don't usually see at our bigger zoo.  I was loving this turtle and it was all to happy to walk by us.  My hubby loves eagles and this one was so majestic!

Wonderful Bliss

Good morning! I joined in on a fun facebook sketch challenge this weekend. I'm loving her original designs and couldn't wait to get started with the first sketch, which is a bonus sketch.

I picked some pretty flower pictures that I took on a field trip with my daughter quite a few years ago.  I still am in awe of the beauty of these tulips!

I used a paper pack from Webster's Pages called painted passport.  The wonderful title and paper embellishments all came from the kit.  I added the canvas bliss and a few sequins to give some dimension.

How Are You? CTS#294

Hi everyone! I am in serious need of some get well cards.  I normally don't have a huge demand but it seems lately that a lot of friends/co-workers are asking for them.

I found this great retro sketch challenge at CAS(E) This Sketch! and went digging through my stamps and dies to create!

Here is the sketch, I'm going to use this to make a few different cards.  So quick and easy.

Here is what I came up with. This came together in about 10 minutes.  I love how just putting some patterned paper and a simple strip creates a card so quick.  I punched out some small hearts and raised them up to give a bit more dimension to my card.

Silly Faces

Good morning and welcome to another sketch challenge at Sketch~N~Scrap! This is such a fun layout challenge and has so many different ways you can use the circles.

Here is my finished layout. This came together quite fast for me using the above sketch.  The fastest I've done in a while on a layout.

Now it's your turn.  Head over to Sketch~N~Scrap and join in the fun!!

TSOT Color Challenge #5 All Things

This cards colors was a happy accident. What do I mean, well, I pulled out these colors and stamp set to create the card and happened to look at the design team challenge for this week and the colors matched! Great minds and all I suppose lol.

This is my favorite time of year and I love playing with these colors.  So many possibilities!

Here is my finished card.  I fussy cut out the leaves (after I already die cut them, I know, more work right) but I didn't want the white border that was around them.  This way I was able to "distress" them a bit and give them a little more depth.

Here is a closer look at the leaves and twine. Now it's your turn. Head over to TSOT and share your creation with us!

Supplies:
Stamp set: Zen Leaves Bundle,
Accessories: wood grain embossing folder, yellow twine and black pearls

AHSC #286 Coffee & Friends

Hi everyone! Welcome to another great sketch challenge At Atlantic Heart Sketch Challenge.  This was a fun one.  Lots of different ways to use it!

Here is this weeks sketch

Here is what I came up with.  I used a circle punch to cut out the sentiment. I put the cardstock in half way and cut.  I did trim off a bit more in order to get it to fit where I wanted it.

I wanted to use colors you don't usually see together.  I used a light lavender and a terracotta color along with grey and brown.

Now it's your turn.  Join along and upload your creation at Atlantic Hearts!!

AHSC #284 Witchy Pup

I fell in love with this stamp set from Sparkle N Sprinkle at the Scrapbook Expo.  Sad to say I almost forgot I had it (woops).  I went to the booth 4 or 5 times before I even purchased it lol.  How could I forget it?!

This weeks sketch for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge is a really nice one.  I decided to a Halloween card as it's October 1st! Woop! Can you believe that I have a neighbor that's had webs and ghosts in their yard since September 1st! Say what!! I'm all about this time of year and that's even to early for me.

Here is my card.  I used a web die for the background and let me tell you, it was a beast to get all those little pieces out.  No matter what I did it just wouldn't cut all the way through the sparkle paper (and I ran it through 4 TIMES).
