I found this great sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.  This card came together so quickly and you can make so many different cards by just changing a few things around.

Here is my card. I'm loving the stamp of the month from The Stamps Of Life.  Such a cute set and dies to create some awesome summer/beachy themed things.

Count Your Blesssings

Hello! I am back and having some crafting fun today.  I created this card using a sketch from Stampnation.  I recently joined and am loving all the inspiration over there.  This is the first challenge I've done there and can't wait to see the end result of the contest.

Here is my card I made.  This is basically a one layer card.  My white cardstock is so thin that I had to mount it onto something or it wouldn't stand.

Best Wishes Good Friend

This coming week I have a co-worker and good friend moving on to bigger and better things.  It's a good thing but also a very sad time.  I'll miss getting to see her everyday. We've had many great days of laughing, crying and just plain venting to each other.  It's going to be a bit tougher to go to work knowing she won't be there anymore.  I made her these two cards.  One is just from me and the other will be the one all my co-workers sign for her.


This one is just from me.  I wanted to give her just a simple thank you card thanking her for being there when I needed her and to let her know how much I'll miss seeing her every day.

 

 

 

 And this is the one everyone will sign.  She is a groomer so I couldn't pass up creating a card using dogs.  I know she'll get a kick out of it and know that I was thinking of her when I made it.

Fab Friday sketch challenge

I've really been wanting to create some new cards and this sketch over at Fab Friday really inspired me today.  I have a friend that's been going through a rough time and after seeing this sketch a card idea for her just popped into my head.  I can't wait to see what she thinks when she gets it as a surprise in the mail this coming week!!

hello bicycle

I am loving this months stamp and die hard club kit from The Stamps of life.  Such a wonderful "springy" set to start getting me in the mood for spring and summer!! I used a great sketch/color challenge from Always Playing with Paper.  I haven't done one of their challenges before and this was a fun one. 

You could choose between the color combo, the sketch or do both.  I chose both.  I turned the sketch sideways for my card.  The colors fit right in with the stamp set.  Can't wait to get outside!

In A Real Funk?!

I'm not sure why but I've been in a real creative funk lately.  Normally I would take a little bit of time on my days off and try and create something but this last month or so I just haven't had any gumption to get up and create.

Now, don't get me wrong, I've wanted to craft.  I've wanted to use my new card kits and scrapbook my new photos but all I've seemed to be able to do is sit, watch tv and nap.  Feeling guilty as I look at my beautiful craft closet and my messy scrap desk.

I finally pulled out some products on Christmas and made my first card in over a month!!  Then today I created two more!! Woohoo! Finally using some of my beloved products.  Using new papers, stamps and embellishments.  They've only been sitting in that lovely scrap closet for a month now.

Here are my cards.  My lovely, hard earned, cards.  I'm hoping that my funk has ended and I'll be creating and crafting like crazy.  After all, I took my whole birthday week off at the end of January so I could relax and play!!

Here is my first card.  I know, VALENTINES DAY?? But this kit was all about Valentines day.
