LOVE YA

Hi everyone! Welcome to another great challenge over at

As always: ANYTHING GOES

Our sponsor for this challenge is

Prize: 3 images

For my card today I used a really cute image called Cinnamon Snow People. I couldn't wait to get started with this. I decided to print out three images and color them differently to give a bit of pizzaz to the snow.

For the snow I used Tim Holtz texture fades snowfall/speckles embossing folder. Then, using speckled egg distress oxide ink, I lightly blended over the embossed image to give a nice blue color to the background.

Once I had all my snow girls colored I fussy cut them out. Then I used a stitched slimline snowdrifts die set from MFT. I took the speckled egg ink, again, and added some color to the drifts.

To give a bit of glitz to the snow drifts I added nuvo glitter drops in white blizzard. I love how it just gives a little glimmer at the bottom.

A little closer look at my snow. I did add some of the nuvo drops here as well. Looks like snowflakes catching the winter light.

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY!!

Baby It's Cold Outside

I am loving the latest release from Catherine Pooler Designs.  I was able to meet and take a class from her at a recent event I attended in Rockford, IL. and had a blast.  We got a choice between two different kits and I got the full kit that included the four new ink pads.

I wanted the new Baby It's Cold outside stamps and matching dies and thankfully they came in this kit!! I love all the different ways you can create different coffee cups and decorate them or cut them from your favorite patterned paper!!

Here is the card I came up with this morning! I stamped the whipped cream and straw and then used pop dots to give the cup some dimension.

I also used the same patterned paper for the inside to make it flow when opened. These new colors are just so yummy!! I could use these all the time and not get sick of them.

All Bundled Up

Good morning! Welcome to another great sketch challenge for Sketch~N~Scrap.  This week we have a cute one for you.

I kept my layout pretty much right on with the sketch this week.  These photos of my little man just melt my heart.  He's sixteen now so to look back a remember is such a treat.

I had this cute holiday kit sitting on my table and thought why not? I just has to see if I could make it work.  I still can't believe he could sleep like that (still does some now).

Warm Birthday Wishes

I'm totally in love with penquins.  My family laughs at me because every time we go to the zoo I just have to see the penquins.  If we don't I'm just not a happy camper.  They are always doing the same thing and in the same place but I HAVE to see them.

So it's no surprise that when I saw this new stamp set from Sunny Studios I just HAD to buy it.  I mean what could be cuter? It's got penquins and you can "bundle" them up!!

The sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches is perfect for this set.  I love that the image area is smaller and will fit this cute little penquin perfectly.

I'm also entering this to Seize the Birthday

Here is my finished card.

Here's a look at the inside.  I've really gotten into "designing" the inside to give a little added flare.

Supplies: bundled up set and dies-Sunny Studios, grey, pink and white cardstock-Stampin' Up, tag stamp and die-The Stamps of Life

Let it Snow!

Is it bad that I'm looking forward to the snow? I'm sure most people would think so, I know my family does, but I just love watching it snow.  Now driving in it is a totally different story!!  This card is just perfect for the snow lover in me.  I can look at the pretty flakes, stamp them in any color I want but I don't have to clean it up or drive in it.  Win win!!

I used Try Stampin' On Tuesday's sketch this week.  Love the layout of it and have a few other ideas in mind.
Here is my card

And a close up of my flakes.  I used snowflakes2stamp and snowflakes dies from The Stamps of life.

stamps, dies, ink and embellishments all from The Stamps of Life, cardstock from Stampin' Up! and background paper is from Crate Paper.
