Happy Birthday StampNation!!

This month over at StampNation we are celebrating it's 9th birthday! I have been apart of SN for about 4 years and have loved every minute. The inspiration from all the ladies, the wonderful challenges and the celebrations are so much fun.

I made two birthday cards using Concord & 9th"s Top It Off stamp/dies.  This is such a fun set and has so many different possibilities! I can't wait to get crafting a bit more with this set.  This is what I came up with today

I used my new misti to help me align my images a bit better and am very happy with how it turned out. I loved using the different colors to create the tiers.  I love both but I think the blue and yellow cake is my favorite. It looks more like a wedding cake to me.

Additional products used:
ink: Catherine Pooler- sauna, stone blue, lemongrass, sangria, daydream, midnight
Cs: heavy white
ss: Concord & 9th- top it off stamp/dies, Catherine Pooler-I eat cake

Aloe There! FMS #416

Here is a card I made using the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. I've had it done for about a week now and totally forgot to upload it so I'm glad there challenge is still going.

Here's the sketch. This layout is one of my favorites I've done in a while and I can see myself making a few more cards with it.

Here is what I came up with. I used new products from the latest Catherine Pooler release called Out West.  Loving the color combo for this paper!!

Hello

Good morning! I tried out another color combo from Stampnation today and am loving it! It's part of the Coffee & Cards-Holiday Edition. I love when they give us color inspiration. It's so cool to see what others come up with and how many different techniques they use.

I used some new products I purchased during Black Friday (shh) I knew I just had to purchase the penguin stamp sets that The Stamps of Life came out with! They are so darn cute and add the right amount of fun to my card. I also used the new diamond builder stencil from Concord & 9th. This works a lot like the turnabout stamps so there will be more cards coming with this stencil!!

I am so happy with the way this card turned out.  I used ink to make the purple cardstock and then cut my sentiment out of it. I can't wait to create more backgrounds with that stencil and see just what I can get out of it!!

Coffee and Friends

Good morning!! I've been enjoying playing with some new items this past week and I have to say that this Coffee Blend stamp and die set from Concord & 9th is one of my favorite new finds!!

I used a color challenge from over at Stampnation and created this card.  I had so much fun using my ink pads to create matching background paper for the front as well as the inside.  I can't wait for my friend to get it and show her how much she's been helping me over the last few weeks!!

I almost forgot to take a picture of this card!! I had the envelope all addressed, stamped and sealed. I had to make a decision to either not get the pic or lose the stamp. I decided to lose the stamp lol!!

I used it's a girl and green tea Catherine pooler inks to create the colored cardstock. I love how doing this gives me an  exact match to my cards!! Her inks make it so easy to do this!!

Supplies:
SS: coffee blend turnabout-Concord & 9th
DIES: coffee blend dies-Concornd & 9th
CS: white cardstock - hobby lobby
INK: it's a girl, green tea, rockin' red, spruce, over coffee, eucalyptus, mint to be and midnight ink-Catherine Pooler Designs

Noel "Less is More #409"

How is everyone doing this December? Did you enjoy all the amazing crafty black Friday sales? I know I did lol. I think I went a bit overboard but hey, when do you ever get deals like that!?

I spent most of my cash at Catherine Pooler's site.  I love her products and a lot of the items she had on sale were things I've been wanting but just couldn't get.  I combined one of my new stamps/die sets with a great sketch from Less Is More. This was a bit of a challenge to get a triangle shape.

These are the two sketches to choose from. I choose the first one and put my triangle at the bottom of my card.

I love how this card turned out.  It's not what I was going to do at first but it just came together.

Good Vibes

Hi there! Back again with another card using a really neat Christmas stamp set.  I received this set as part of a gift at a crop weekend I was at.  I did purchase the matching dies because who couldn't use the matching dies right?

I started out wanting to make a tag and the original tag die I used just wasn't cutting it for me.  It was to small for the card and I needed something to fill the space more.  I cut a larger tag and then stamped and colored the images in.  I decided not to use a traditional Christmas sentiment even though it's a Christmas card. I figured it could be used as a pick-me-up card.

I used Nuvo drops in silver crystals and ruby slippers glitter drops on the ornaments and the center of the poinsettia's.  I love the bit of bling it adds without over doing it.

Baby It's Cold Outside

I am loving the latest release from Catherine Pooler Designs.  I was able to meet and take a class from her at a recent event I attended in Rockford, IL. and had a blast.  We got a choice between two different kits and I got the full kit that included the four new ink pads.

I wanted the new Baby It's Cold outside stamps and matching dies and thankfully they came in this kit!! I love all the different ways you can create different coffee cups and decorate them or cut them from your favorite patterned paper!!

Here is the card I came up with this morning! I stamped the whipped cream and straw and then used pop dots to give the cup some dimension.

I also used the same patterned paper for the inside to make it flow when opened. These new colors are just so yummy!! I could use these all the time and not get sick of them.

Homegrown

I finally decided to do a layout all about me! If I'm usually in a spread then it's always with others.  I wish I would have done more of myself when my kiddo's were small just to "prove" I was really there lol.

It seems that us mom's are ALWAYS behind the camera and when we did get in front of the lens our heads might be cut off or the photo is weird (always happens when my hubby takes pics}

For this layout I used a layout kit from Echo Park called Homegrown.  I love the different patterns it provides and the colors are so pretty.

I used a sketch that you can get for free over at Scrapbook Generation.

There are pretty recent pictures and I am going to add the year (I didn't realize I forgot until I just uploaded it).  Other than that, I'm loving how this layout turned out.

Baseball

Here is a fun layout using pictures from a game day my husband's work had.  I've gone the last two years and both years the Sox got rain delayed. Both years we ended up leaving early and going home. This year we were able to take our youngest son Jacob.  He had so much fun and really enjoyed the bus ride to and from the stadium.

It took me a couple of weeks to get this done.  I just couldn't get the mojo to work for me.  I finally sat down this morning and just finished it up.

Some fall cards

Good afternoon! I have been making a couple of fall cards today and couldn't wait to share what I've made. I've been in a bit of a crafting funk lately, so it's been nice to get some ink on my fingers again.

I used Catherine Pooler inks for the images as well as the colored cardstock. I ran the ink pads along the edges to make the perfect matching paper.  I love using that technique!!

Pumpkin Time TMS# 517

I found a great sketch over at Tuesday Morning Sketches today and I couldn't wait to play along.  I didn't really know what I was going to do but I knew I wanted to play.

I decided to start out by digging through stamps I haven't really used in a long time and found two really great sets that help set the tone for my card. I then scoured through my patterned paper packs and found the perfect papers.

Here is the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches

Here is what I came up with.  I die cut the pumpkins and layered them on top to give some dimension. Lately I haven't really been using to many embellishments so I added just a few drops of nuvo drops to give a little "bling" to my card.
