My Heart

Oh my it's been such a fun time going through old photos of my kiddos! I found another great nugget and couldn't wait to get it on paper.  I so miss this cuties smile.  She still smiles but it's all grown up now.

I love this sketch challenge from Let's Get Sketchy.  The page came together quickly and I'm loving how it turned out.

As you can see I used a vertical picture and I used brackets instead of spots.

Fall Girl

Hello.  I am loving that it's finally getting a little cooler out and fall is here.  I found this cute picture of my daughter from 2002 and couldn't help but scrap it. She was such a big helper and really enjoyed raking the leaves (wish she still felt that way).

I used this awesome sketch from Let's Get Sketchy to create my layout.

Here is what I came up with.  I used a cute kit from Echo Park and my Kiwi Lane templates to create this cute fall layout. I love using the templates to cut out titles to get different shapes.

Dream Believe Gratitude Journal

Hello.  Welcome to another sketch installment at Try Stamping On Tuesday.  I had a bit of a hard time deciding what I wanted to do with sketch.  Sometimes the mojo just takes a bit of a break.  Then I was watching a video from Fun Stamper's Journey and the inspiration hit (actually two videos).

I decided to take my project from a card to a notebook.  I love the idea of a gratitude journal and have wanted to start one for quite some time.  So my project will have a tutorial with it as well for you.

Here is the sketch

I found an old notebook that my kids didn't use for school and it's perfect for this sketch.

Step 1: Start with any size or shape notebook you want.  Make sure to remove any labels that may be on it (as I did here)

Step 2: Cut two pieces of cardstock to fit the cover (mine was 9 3/4x 7 1/2 inches). I also cut two pieces for the inside covers as well.

Step 3: Attach the pieces you cut to the cover of your notebook

Step 4: Open the cover and cut off any excess paper.  Mine had just a bit and rounded corners to remove.

Step 5: Choose a washi tape or ribbon (can also use cardstock, although it may be harder to attach) and run it over the edge of your notebook.  Make sure it's wide enough to go around the binding.  Trim edges after you've wrapped it around the binding.

Step 6: Add another layer of ribbon, cardstock or washi tape to give it a more cohesive look (as you'll see in the finished project I had to change to a different color for this as the black wouldn't stick)

Step 7: Start decorating your notebook as you'd like.  I love the oval with embossing. I used a dauber to add some color to the raised embossing to bring it out a bit more.  I then punched out the flowers and rolled the petals with my bone folder and layered them.

Here is a close up of the flowers. You can also see how I colored the embossing as well.

Sweet As You CS #130

Good morning! I'm here with another card sketch challenge from Sketch~N~Scrap.  As soon as I sat down to make this card I knew I wanted to use this Birthday Collection stamp set from CTMH.  It has a matching cartridge to cut out the shapes, which is what I did with the cupcake.

I then used my Kiwi Lane celebrate tiny stencils for the balloons. I'm really liking the way it turned out.

Here is the sketch for this week

Here is my finished card. I added some enamel dots to the cupcake to break up all of the blue.

Now it's your turn! Create your project and don't forget to link it on Sketch~N~Scrap for us to see.

Hello Sunshine #282

Hello.  Welcome back! Today I have another wonderful sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog.  I got to use some new tropical dies I purchased and my new glass mat.  Loving how easy it makes blending color onto images!

Here is today's sketch

Here is my card.  I decided to use some glitter washi tape as my borders and stamped my sentiment right onto it.  It gives it a soft muted look which goes well with the softer colors of the flowers.

Here is a closer look at the inked images.

Hoping Your Day...

I've been on a roll today lol.  I found this great TAG challenge at Craftaholics R Us. I have a tag die set that I haven't pulled out in a while and this challenge was perfect.  I'm trying to use more of the items I've already got instead of always using the new products (although I love the new stuff).

Here is my tag.  If you've scrolled through my blog at all today you may notice that all the projects have the same coloring.  I decided to use the papers on my scrap table instead of pulling out new cardstock.  I have way to many scraps and I never use them.  This way I won't have to "add" to the scrap pile.

Supplies:
ACCESS: stitchedtags die, cocoa twine

Happy birthday roar and a couple challenges

HI everyone! Welcome back!! I am in desperate need of male birthday cards.  Kids, adults, doesn't matter I need them! I started today with this cute dino set that I recently purchased.  I love how quick and easy I was able to get this card done.

I used a couple of challenges to get it done.  I would love your input on stamp sets you use to create male inspired birthday (or anything really) cards.  Leave me a comment below and help a girl out.

Here are the two challenges I used.

Color Throwdown's colors are amazing this week!!

And I added in a sketch from a new place for me
Here is my finished card.  This card came together in less than 10 minutes and that includes the background stamping and twine tying.

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Rawr!
Ink: pomegranate splash, green olive, black licorice
CS: oatmeal cookie, pomegranate splash, tangerine fusion, whip cream
ACCESS: cocoa/white twine

FMS#354 Witches Hat

Good morning! I'm enjoying some much needed crafting time and getting to play with some of my new goodies! I love the upcoming season and couldn't wait to make something with this cute stamp set.

I found this sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches and it's perfect for what I wanted to do.

Here is my card.  I used and embossing folder and then I ran my ink pad over the embossed image to create some dimension.  Not sure why I never thought to do this before.  I'm loving how it makes it pop.

Supplies:
Stamp set: bad witch bundle
ACCESS: black lace ribbon, spooky moon embossing folder

School Is Here!

Today's challenge is a fun one over at Try Stampin' On Tuesday.  It's a Tic Tac Toe.  I finally got to use a stamp set that I've had FOREVER and have never used.  You know how that goes right? You buy, say I'll use it and then it just sits and never gets worked with.

Well today I used it lol.

For my card I did diagonal left to right.  School//Die Cut//Blue.  (I used green because I thought it was the end, thankfully I used blue as well)

Here is what I came up with. I used a card die set from My Favorite Things to create all three layers. I pop dotted the tag up and added a little emoji brad.  I love those!

Just a Note AHSC #280

Welcome to another wonderful sketch challenge over at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge Blog. I had a lot of fun creating with this sketch. I recently went to the Scrapbook Expo by my hometown and just had to use a new stamp set I got!

I purchased WAY to much but am loving everything I got and it's really gotten me into the crafting mood.

Here is sketch #280

This is what I made with it. The stamp set is Tulips from Sparkle N Sprinkle and one of my new favs. I'm still working on my water coloring, but I'm very happy with how this turned out. To give the flowers a nice crisp look I embossed them with black embossing powder.

Let's Eat Cake

While the hubby got called into over time on this three day weekend, I get to scrap the days away! I created another birthday layout to finish off my son's 2013 birthday.  I usually don't do two full layouts for it but I had so many cute pics I couldn't just pick a few.

I used the Kiwi Lane 2016 holiday catalog again for this layout as the challenge is still going to use the August Kiwi Kit to create layouts with the 2016 catalog.  You can find the first layout HERE.

I had to laugh as I was crafting these layouts and the cake pan in front of him was BIGGER than him.  I didn't realize it at the time but holy cow!  He didn't eat all that cake though lol.

It's Your Day

I'm loving the Kiwi Lane kits that I receive every month.  August's kit was Birthday Wishes. My consultant has a challenge going over on her facebook page to use the kit a sketch from the 2016 Winter catalog.

I choose the Snow Fun sketch on page 10 to recreate using the papers and stencils from the kit.  Unfortunately I'm unable to add in the file for the book so you could look at the different sketches.

Here are my pages.  I really enjoyed picking the photos for these.  His facial expressions were one of a kind and now that he's older he just doesn't get this expressive anymore.

Wonderful Blessing

Hi everyone! Welcome to another great sketch challenge over at Sketch~N~Scrap.  I found these cute pictures of my daughter from her 11th birthday.  She's now 19 and doesn't even look the same!!

I had so much fun with this layout.  I used a paper kit I got last year at the scrapbook expo and tried not to do the standard birthday paper and title.  I'm loving the way it turned out.

Here is the sketch for today

Here is my finished layout. I used title stickers from the paper kit and then pulled out some of my kiwi lane templates and a flower punch to finish it.

Now it's your turn to start scrapping and don't forget to link it up on Sketch~N~Scrap.

Celebrate Right Angle Fold Card

Hello! Today's challenge over at Try Stampin' On Tuesday is a fun fold challenge.  Pick a favorite fold for you card and get crafting. You can do one of our samples or find yours and craft along!

This is such a fun challenge to do. This is my first "other" challenge as a design team member and I enjoyed scouring YouTube to find a new technique.  The fold I chose is called Right Angle Fold.   You can find the tutorial I used HERE.  As well as I've added the video below.

I also went to her blog to help me follow along and have the dimensions right in front of me.  You can find it at STAMP YOUR ART OUT.

Here is my card.  What's really cool about this fold is that you actually get two cards out of it!! How cool!!

QUICK & EASY CHRISTMAS CARDS

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a quick post on how I made my Christmas cards this year. I have been so busy lately with school, work, and ...
