SKETCH CHALLENGE WITH THE STUDIO DESIGN TEAM

Hi everyone! We have another great challenge over at

Today's challenge is a sketch challenge based off a layout one of our design team members created. I can't wait to see what you come up with using this.

We recently purchased some new rugs and one of them went in my craft room. The dogs are always wanting to sit in there with me but hate the hard floor. So, I couldn't pass up a chance to get this cute pic!

Murphy so seldom lays still and lets me take pictures of him. I always seem to get him with his head moving or he gets up and walks away.

I used a new paper/sticker pack from CTMH called BLOOM WITH GRACE. The colors in this kit are so pretty and work well to highlight the white in the rug and Murphy.

I wanted the title to jump off the page so when I got the MEGA GREETINGS 3 stamps/dies I knew this was the title I wanted. I have to admit that I thought there was a smaller stamp that said man's best friend. I guess wishful thinking lol. But this worked.

Now it's your turn. Give this sketch a try and share it with us over at the blog!

SUNKISSED

Hi everyone! Welcome to another challenge over at

Today's challenge is to use up your OLD STASH items. Get them out and use them up (then you can get new stuff lol). I recently did a huge de-stash so I don't have anything to old.  I did use a paper kit from Simple Stories I've had a little while.

I had some pieces left over so I made a card as well. I hate keeping scraps so better to use them all up!!

Now it's your turn. Get de-stashing and don't forget to share over at the blog.

THE TASSEL WAS WORTH THE HASSLE

Hi everyone! Welcome back to another great challenge over at

This weeks challenge is: Special Person; create a layout about a special person in your life. This maybe someone that has changed your life in some why or maybe it's a family member or special friend that you haven't been able to see for a while etc...

I choose to do a layout about my youngest son. He just recently graduated High School. This is something we weren't sure he'd be able to. He was diagnosed with Autism when he was nine after years of trying to get him help. Then adding to it he was also diagnosed with ADHD and anxiety.

I took this picture of him right after he moved his tassel from the right to the left. He looks so grown up. I love how confident he is.

This is the third page in a four page layout that I created using all the photos I took.  The first two are photos I took at home and the second two are of the actual ceremony.

I found the title in the Cricut store and couldn't wait to use it. I love that it has different fonts that work so well together.

I found these great apoxy flair buttons at SCRAPIN HAPPY STUDIO! She has such a wide variety and comes out with new styles all the time. Check it out!

OH MY! AND A LAYOUT CHALLENGE

Hi everyone! Welcome back to another great challenge over at

Today's challenge is a fun sketch challenge inspired by one of our design team members Rainny.

For my layout I pulled out some old photos my son took of my hubby and youngest son a few years ago. He gave them some funny faces and even had my youngest steaming from his ears lol. I've been wanting to scrap these and was just waiting for the perfect layout.

I did switch mine up a bit. I wanted my larger pieces to be the pictures and the smaller the title. I mostly used patterned paper. I kept the layout simple as the paper has a lot going on.

Going Places

Hi everyone! Welcome back to another great challenge at

This week we have a great sketch for you to work with.  My layout came together so fast using this and I can't wait to see what you come up with!!

Here is what I came up with.  I've had these photos from my son's 17th birthday for, well, 5 years and haven't had any ideas of how to scrap them. This layout is perfect since I only had four photos and one wasn't that great.

I get some great products from a scrapbook group. Depending on what your join you get some great product samplings from different and new product lines.

This made this layout come together so quickly and I didn't worry about making the papers and embellishments "match" the pictures. I just went with it.

My son has become a big fan of the group Chicago and that is what he wanted for his birthday. This was his first concert and I love that it was in an outside venue where we could just sit and relax. The music was wonderful and we loved getting all the fresh air.

Now it's your turn. Create a layout using this sketch and upload it to the blog! Can't wait to see what you come up with!!

I'm Being Watched...

Ever had the feeling like your being watched? It's a daily occurrence in my house. Our doggies just love "watching" us!

Today I'm sharing a design team project for
The challenge is to use 3 squares, 2 circles and 1 triangle in your design!

This is what I came up with.  These pictures were taken during my first round of stay at home order. I was working in my craft room and felt something behind me lol.

I really enjoyed making this layout. It took me a couple of days to decide what I was going to use to for the shapes. I decided on 3 square photos, 2 die cut color wheels and small triangle stickers as accents.

I wanted to use the title I'm being watched but I also really liked the smile die cut in this kit. So decided to use the smile as my secondary title and add it to my picture to help it pop more.

I laid out the three square photos in succession to show the progression of him getting closer and closer lol.  He's such a stalker!!

I've been wanting to use this color wheel die for a while and didn't have an idea for it. I was happy to see this challenge as it was the first thing to pop into my head to use.

Now it's your turn! Give this a try and upload to the blog!

Beautiful You

Hi everyone! Welcome to my first challenge post for

Our challenge for you today is to make a layout all about your scrapbooking. How and when did you get into it? What you love about it? Etc.

I started scrapbooking in 1997 when my first son was born. I knew the minute I got pregnant that I wanted to document everything! I love the way it helps to keep all of my family memories alive and when I'm older and can't remember my children will be able to look back and know what we did and how we loved. My oldest is 23 now and I have a 21 and 18 year old but I still love scrapping all our memories and even getting some goofy photos in my albums.

I've been playing a lot lately with mixed media products and I knew I wanted to frame this photo of my daughter with some paint. So I used clear gesso on my background cardstock and then used two different paints. I also took a small paintbrush in each color and did some splatters.

I did add some white gesso over the painted area to tone the color down just a bit. It was over powering the painted flowers and I wanted them to stand out on their own.

This is one of my favore pictures of my daughter. We were on a school field trip and she just sat there listening to her music lost in her thoughts.

Here's a close up of some of the splatters. I love how they came out.
