Good Times

I am on a role with these cub scout pictures lol.  Not sure why I suddenly have the mojo to get them scrapped but I'm sure glad I do!!

I used another great sketch from my Scrapbook Generation sketch books and it helped get this layout together quickly.  I also did a challenge on the SG Online Crop going on this weekend that had you use stars.

I'm usually a big star person so it was a bit hard for me to figure out exactly what to do with them so I added a half border on one side and some accents on the other. I did use two different star die sets, one from The Stamps of Life and the other from Catherine Pooler Designs.  The title is another die set from The Stamps of Life.

These are some of my most favorite pictures of my oldest son.  He had so much fun and the large smiles he kept giving melted my heart.  I loved watching him hanging out with his den buddies and making all his silly faces.

Tree Trimming & Trains

Another cub scout layout done! Every year we'd take a train ride to the Zoo and the scouts would decorate our two trees with the ornaments they made during their den meetings.  They loved doing this and it was so fun to watch them decide where the perfect place was lol!!

For this layout I used a sketch book from Scrapbook Generation that I bought quite a few years ago at the Scrapbook Expo.  They come together so quick with these sketches and no two layouts look the same!

X-Mas Party

I love getting to spend these rainy/snowy weekends in my craft room getting some much needed photos scrapped! These pics are all the way back from 2005! I have tons of scouting photos between my three kids and between being a leader.

I started getting really tired of scrapping them and was having such a hard time coming up with new ideas.  So now I do them whenever I need something to scrap and I just pick papers and go with it.

I got this great layout idea from the SG Online Crop that's going on this weekend.  Each day has different things to work on and we have until March 22nd to finish it all up!

You Inspire Me CC69

Loving getting all these challenges done today! Sitting and watching the snow (again) come down is so peaceful while crafting.  I created this card for the sketch challenge over at Soul Scrappers.

The sketch was a lot of fun and the card came together really quickly.

I did move a few things a bit but all in all I stuck to the original design.  The funny thing is, is that once I had the card put together I realized that I put the elements on backwards.  So my fold is on the wrong side of the card lol.  I'm left handed so I'm going to use that as my excuse and move on.

I used my Jillibean soup kit again to create this card.  It was out on my desk after making a layout so I figured I'd just keep going.

Love Dream "Pick 3 Feb 2019"

I am loving this picture of my husband and I from our trip to Mexico.  This was our first ever "BIG" trip together as well as our first one out of the country.  I was so nervous to get on a plane and leave my kiddos home.

It was well worth the nerves though.  We had such a great time just relaxing and enjoying the sounds of the ocean and the free drinks lol.  Coming home was so hard! I took this pic on our second to last day out by the ocean.  I knew I wanted to get a larger size so I could scrap it!

I used the Pick 3 challenge for Feb over at Soul Scrappers.  I've really enjoying "re-finding" this great site.

There was a list of 7 different items to choose from.  I decided on the 3 different patterned papers, sequins, glitter paper and die cut letters. I did use several different Kiwi Lane templates to create the background and accents.  I love this paper kit by Jillibean Soup! Everything came together really easily and I'm now going to find a frame and hang this up in my house.

Stencil Blending Fun

Good morning everyone! I watched a fun tutorial over at Stampnation about stencil blending and couldn't wait to give it a try.  She shows using the same colors on white and dark cardstock.

I do have to say that with the colors I chose I like the white better. I'm just not to fond of the dark one that I made.  I'm going to give it another try with different colors and see how I like it.

Beautiful Smile

I found this beautiful pictures of my niece from when she had her senior pictures taken.  I totally forgot I even had copies of these.  I was trying to find some photos to do this sketch and these were perfect.  This weeks sketch for Sketch~N~Scrap is a great challenge.  I have several more photos so there will be a second page coming.

Sometimes I still can't believe she's already out of school.  She's an adult and even has children. I love this young lady so much! I couldn't think of a better title that the one I have on here.  It says it all.

I pulled out my Kiwi Lane templates again for this layout.  I recently got some new ones and this was the perfect layout to give them a try.

Happy Anniversary! TSOT #395

Hi everyone and welcome to another challenge at Try Stampin' On Tuesday! This weeks sketch is a fun one and have a great optional theme that everyone can do.

Optional theme: ribbon or twine

I really had a lot of fun making this card.  When I saw the sketch I knew exactly what stamp set I was going to use!

I love this stamp set from Catherine Pooler.  This came out in her recent SOA box and it's really a versatile stamp set.  I used light blue ink and a sponge to create the sky background.

Smile

I recently joined a scrapbook kit club and am loving the amazing samplings of products you get each month.  I created this layout below using The Scraproom's January Jillibean soup You make miso happy collection and The Scraproom's February jump start layout.

Here is my finished layout. I have these old pics of the day my daughter got her braces off.  She was so happy to be done with them! I just wish these photos would have turned out a bit better.

GRAB5JAN Birthday Card

I found this fun challenge today over at Soul Scrappers. I have been a member for quite some time but never seemed to have time to play.  This challenge is fun because you're to grab five items from your stash that you've had for a while or haven't used before.

Here is a pic of the five things I decided to use.  I've had the stamp set, punch and card die from Stampin' Up! for such a long time and haven't used any of them ( I was actually putting them in my get rid pile).  I also pulled out the baker's twine and then this cute sticker sheet.

Here is what I came up with.  I didn't think about how hard it would be to get a good photo of my card. I like how it turned out but I still feel as if it's missing something.  Leave a comment and let me know what I need to add.

Happy Valentine's Day

I am loving all the new Valentine's Day stamps and accessories that are out right now.  I don't usually buy a bunch of it but this year they just seemed to scream at me to buy! I used a few new products I've recently acquired on this weeks Sketch~N~Scrap card challenge.

I used some more muted colors instead of the usual bright's you see.  Here is the sketch for today.

I kept the base of my card white so I could stencil on some hearts.  I love how this stencil looks. The randomness of the hearts is perfect for a subtle background.

I stamped the sentiment and heart images in black and then sponged on color to give a little pop to each of the hearts.

Supplies used:
Catherine Pooler: Doodle hearts stamp set and dies
                             Smitten designer paper
                             Midnight ink
                             Coral cabana ink
                             Skylight ink
                             Rose Petals ink
Concord &9th: Halftone hearts nesting dies
Echo Park: You & Me 6x6 designer template (hearts)
CTMH: Silver shimmer trim
Nuvo: Wisteria purple crystal drops

I Love You TSOT #394

Welcome to another fun sketch challenge at Try Stampin' On Tuesday! I had a lot of fun coming up with my card today.  I started out with just doing an embossed background and just started adding things.  I don't usually put so much on a card but this was a lot of fun!

Here is my finished card.  I did a lot of ink to paper this time.  I really liked how the unicorn starting popping once I added the two colors.  I tried embossing the sentiment but it just wouldn't turn out. Does embossing powder go bad?

Here is a close up of some of the different elements. The black circles have a little bit of glitter in them but is subtle enough to not take away from the glitter embossed roses.

Supplies:

Catherine Pooler: Roses stencil
                             Midnight ink
                             Rose petals ink
                             Skylight ink
                             Vintage peacock embossing powder
Jane Davenport: Happy Little Unicorn dies
Spellbinders: Fun Filled Rings dies
From stash: white cardstcock, pink cardstock

Unicorn Birthday Wishes

I love this stamp set by Concord & 9th.  Unicorns are one of my most favorite things in the world (yup, I know they don't really exist, or do they)?  When ever I see a new set I have to really think about it before I buy it because I have a lot already lo.

I am still working on birthday cards so I'm loving the sentiment that comes in this set as well.  This is the last card for the Stamp Nation 8th Birthday Bash sketch.  I've been loving playing along and am so sad it's coming to an end!

I had a hard time getting the purple background piece to stick to the glitter paper. Anyone else have this issue? I had to add glue dots as well as my regular adhesive to get it to stick.  Probably why I don't use it to often.

QUICK & EASY CHRISTMAS CARDS

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a quick post on how I made my Christmas cards this year. I have been so busy lately with school, work, and ...
